It is no secret that a trip to Walt Disney World can lend itself to being a busy and fun-filled vacation. With that business, comes the need to find those moments where we can relax and regain our much needed energy for the adventures that await. Disney magic extends far beyond the parks, it can be found and enjoyed at the Walt Disney World resorts. Deluxe resorts offer the widest range of amenities, dining (including character dining ), closest proximity to the parks, theme park views, an array of transportation, extended evening hours, exceptional pools and the undeniably fantastic, club level!

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is a classic and a total VIBE! It is one of the original Walt Disney World resorts, opening October 1,1971. The atmosphere is immaculate with tiki torches, lush greenery, incredible dining and amazing nightly views and sounds of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show as well as the Electrical Water Pageant. So with all this why do you need club level you ask? Let me tell you!

Staying club level at the Polynesian gets you into the most coveted building of the resort, the Hawaii building. This building sits right by the lava pool, the lobby as well as the water taxi station that transports you seamlessly to Magic Kingdom. It graces the gorgeous beach with views of the lake & Magic Kingdom, providing you a front row seat to all the magic. In the Hawaii building you will be able to take advantage of a private concierge that is there to assist you and make your stay even more seamless. This also allows you a faster and private check in as you can bypass the lobby and head straight there. The private lobby is always stocked with fresh baked cookies, fruit, drinks and POG juice (YUM).

The exclusive lounge is perhaps the most notable perk as you have a two story, floor to ceiling window retreat to luxuriate in while you take in the nighttime show and enjoy all of the delicacies. Although staying club level does cost more, if you utilize the perks, it is well worth it. You will be able to enjoy a full breakfast from 7- 10:30 AM daily and let me tell you, this was invaluable to my family as we arrived at the parks with full & happy bellies, caffeinated with Nespresso and even packed some chips, cookies and waters from the lounge to grab while at the parks.

Taking a midday break? Visit the King Kamehameha Club again to enjoy refreshments  from 12-4 PM. There was an incredible spread every evening between 5-7PM which can easily serve as dinner with heavy apps and beverages galore. Finally, if you’re not in the parks for the nighttime shows, the lounge will be serving desserts and cordials between 8-10PM. The lounge was always stocked with adult beverages from wines, cocktails and beer. You can have the lovely cast members make you a drink or take some back to the room to enjoy. The cast members at the lounge are really the cherry on top, always smiling and eager to make your day even more amazing.

I am a strong believer in planning time outside the parks to enjoy all of the spectacular perks the resorts have to offer. Staying club level at the Polynesian truly enhanced this for my family and I in a way a regular stay simply can’t. Perhaps our favorite night of our trip was the one where we got snacks, desserts and cocktails from the lounge, brought them to our room where we sat on our patio and had a private front row seat to Happily Ever After. The kids danced, we all sang along and had a blast. It was indeed pure magic and a night my family and I will cherish forever.
