Casting spells and dodging “him who shall not be named” can be exhausting work for a muggle visiting Universal Orlando Resort. Fortunately, there are a variety of Quick Service Dining options to satisfy a wide range of palates.  Here are my top 5 recommendations for a quick bite at Universal.

  1. Leaky Cauldron: Located in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Park, you’ll enjoy British-style pub food like Bangers and Mash, Toad in the Hole, and Butterbeer Potted Cream. My personal   favorite is the Mini Cottage Pie and Mini Fisherman’s Pie served with garden salad along with a Gillywater.
  2. Three Broomsticks: Keeping with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme, you can’t miss a meal at Three Broomsticks, located in Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.  Traditional British Fare is the on the menu here, with Fish and Chips and Beef Pasties.  The Great Feast is a perfect choice for a family of four with rotisserie smoked chicken and spareribs, corn on the cob, fresh vegetables and roasted potatoes.  Try a Pear Cider and a cup of Butterbeer Ice Cream for dessert.
  3. TODAY Café:  If you’re a fan of the weekly morning show from New York City, you’ll be delighted to learn that several of their menu items are based on favorites from the Big Apple.  This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with lighter offerings catering to a range of dietary needs.   Try the Park Avenue Avocado Toast or the Carnegie Platter.   I love the Little Italy Caprese Platter – a pressed ciabatta sandwich with fresh mozzarella, oven-roasted tomatoes and basil aioli.
  4. Illumination’s Minion Cafe: One of the newest and cutest additions at Universal is run by the minions!  You’ll find a variety of Despica-bowls, like Kevin’s Chopa Chopa Salad and Lucy’s Top Secret Salmon.  Save room for a Minion Swiss Roll!
  5. Thunder Falls Terrace: Carnivores will delight in the options available at this quick-service restaurant located in the Jurassic Park area of Universal’s Island of Adventures.  Feast on Chargrilled Ribs, Roasted Pernil or Raptor Wings.  The Roasted Pork & Cheese Nachos are a great pairing with a cool milkshake.
