If you’re looking for the ultimate fun, family resort at Universal Orlando Resort, Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is just for you! With a retro design and vibe, you’ll feel like you’re visiting chic Florida motels from the 1950s and 1960s.

After checking in, I love to grab a cold drink from the Swizzle Lounge in the lobby to make me feel like I’m on the set of Mad Men.

The resort offers standard rooms with two queen beds to accommodate parties of four.  The big draw at this resort is the family suite category, featuring suites that comfortably sleep up to 6 people – perfect for a larger family.  The retro chic theming is carried into each room with Zest soap and VO2 hair products.

My top three reasons for staying at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort include access, food, and fun!

1. Proximity to Volcano Bay – Walking paths connect Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort to this tropical paradise. (Theme park admission is required for entry.)  Volcano Bay view rooms are also optional during your stay.
2. Bayliner Diner – This large food court, comprised of various food stations, is the anchor of the resort.  Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Bayliner Diner also has a grab and go section, making it convenient to take items back to your room or to the pool. My “must have” each visit are the crinkle cut French fries from the Burger & Grill Station.
3. Activities – Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is a playground of fun!  With two large pools areas, including a lazy river (bring your own rafts or be prepared to purchase one), Jack LaLanne Physical Fitness Studio and Galaxy Bowl, you won’t want to leave the resort!  But when you do, remember that a stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort features exclusive benefits, including Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ up to one hour before the parks open (valid theme park admission required).
