Spend the Day at the Spa with a Thermal Pass

Cruises are filled with opportunities for adventure, but if you’re looking for relaxation, consider purchasing a thermal suite pass. Regardless of the cruise line we sail, one of the first items on our list is to head to the spa to purchase a thermal suite pass on embarkation day. The passes sold for each sailing are limited so it’s best to arrive early and take advantage of a spa tour from the spa crew members and enroll in any spa giveaways offered.

On our most recent cruise onboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas, we enjoyed the thermal suite on a daily basis, with unlimited access during spa hours. The adult exclusive area was a relaxing retreat. The thermal suite amenities included heated ceramic tile loungers, a steam room, a sauna room, and sensory showers. Robes were offered upon arrival at the spa desk and salt scrubs were complimentary for each of us. The warm ceramic tile loungers were the perfect place to relax. The men and women locker rooms were spacious and offered additional space beyond our staterooms to prepare for the day and for dinner. Typical spa, med-spa, and salon services were also available to reserve for additional fees.

An added bonus at the entrance to the Vitality at Sea Spa was the Vitality Cafe. Even our teenagers enjoyed the freshly squeezed juices and fruit smoothies, covered within the refreshment package we purchased prior to the cruise. The fresh strawberry, banana, and raspberry smoothies were perfect in the morning or after a workout in the nearby fitness center and we had the option of adding protein powder. The green apple, mint, lemon, and ginger juice was a delicious and refreshing combination after spending the day by the pool or beach. Plus, green apples and ginger are both used to eliminate and prevent symptoms of sea sickness.

If relaxing on vacation is important to you, consider purchasing a thermal suite pass on your next cruise.
