The Disney Wish is Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship.  It is beautiful and enchanting in every way. There are so many beloved Disney stories woven into the ship’s design – you will experience emotion, imagination, and adventure with each sailing.

The Disney Wish has many unique and delicious dining options.  Here is a look at the 3 main – not to miss – Dining Experiences. The three restaurants include bread service, appetizer, salad, entrée, and dessert. You will be assigned either main or second dining – and best of all, you will have the same wait staff each evening.

1923

The Glitz and Glamour of Old Hollywood.  This is a sophisticated dining experience that embodies the spirit of the studios that started it all. You will be seated in either Walt or Roy side of the restaurant.  Guests will dine amid storyboards, sketches, and props that celebrate the animation process and the year the Walt Disney Studios was founded – 1923.  If you are a true Disney fan – make sure you take a moment to walk around the restaurant to catch a glimpse of Disney history.

Don’t let the sophistication intimidate you – although there is no show at this restaurant – your kids will enjoy this dining experience as well.  The food and atmosphere are divine.  The wait staff are amazing and provide the whole family with a wonderful dining experience.  We enjoyed magic tricks and fun extras from our wait staff during our evening in 1923.

My menu recommendations for 1923 – Appetizer: hyperion four-cheese tri-color tortelloni, Salad: Split Napa Baby Romaine Lettuce, From the Kettle: Roasted Roma Tomato Soup, Entrée: 1923 Peppered Filet Mignon with potato hash, green beans, Dessert: Churros Clientes & 1923 Hollywood Hills hot fudge sundae.

Worlds of Marvel

Enjoy a cinematic dining experience unlike any other.  Join Ant-Man and the Wasp during “Avengers: Quantum Encounter”.  You will walk down the long futuristic hallways to arrive in the restaurant. The restaurant does feel large, but Disney has done a great job with the placement of the tables to give a more intimate & unique dining experience.  You will be seated at a table with blue lights, chrome and a cool charger plate with the Avengers symbol on it.  You will also have the Quantum Core positioned at the center of your table – this provides a great interactive experience throughout your dinner.  The Quantum Core lights up and makes sounds as you are given missions.  A pretty fun note is that if you have the DisneyBand+ – it is activated during this experience as well.

Enjoy your delicious dinner, chat about your fun- filled day with your family, and also watch the monitors in the room as your Super Heroes embark on a heroic adventure of epic proportions.

My Menu Recommendations:  Appetizer: Crispy breaded fried shrimp, Salad: Iceberg Wedge, From the Kettle: Kartoffelsuppe (potato soup), Entrée: Chicken Schnitzel, Dessert: Quatum Key Lime Pie.

Arendelle: A “Frozen” Dining Adventure

Enjoy a delicious Norwegian-inspired dinner and be magically transported to the kingdom of Arendelle at the world’s first “Frozen” – themed dining experience.

This Amazing dining experience will begin from the moment you walk down the hall – it’s meant to mimic the castle in Frozen and it is sure to excite the whole family.  Make sure you take your time and admire all of the “Easter eggs” – the detail is truly Amazing.  Once you enter the restaurant you will notice the center stage. This will be the focus of your dining entertainment – by Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and “local” musicians.   This Frozen celebration is a dining experience to celebrate the engagement of Anna and Kristoff – whether you’re a Frozen fan or not – you will not be disappointed.  You will enjoy a delicious meal, entertainment, and even have a visit from your favorites as they stop by your table.

My menu recommendations: Appetizer: Jarlsberg cheese & rosemary tart, Salad: Troll Valley Baby Field Greens, From the Kettle: Split yellow pea soup (trust me on this one), Entrée: Arendelle Kjottkake (braised meatballs, noodles, chutney), Dessert: Troll Family’s Rock Chocolate Bar.  I would also recommend the Frozen Fractals for a deliciously themed drink.

A note about the menus for each of these three restaurants – they have a great Lighter Side menu. The lighter side entrees were a great choice for my fairly plain eating teenager.  She was able to have a delicious meal each night.  The wait staff would offer Caesar salad as well for her salad even if it wasn’t on the menu.  They really are very accommodating and they quickly get to know you and your preferences.    If you have food allergies or restrictions – you will speak with the chef and they will take good care of you throughout your cruise. We did not utilize the kids menus – but the offerings looked very inviting for all the little ones.
