I always suggest investing in travel insurance as you never know what may come up.  You are typically booking cruises several months out for the best prices.

There are going to be tons of activities onboard your ship that you can partake in and some are included in your cruise fare like attending a silent disco or a comedy show to riding the FlowRider or attending Pirate Night.  You can also enjoy your cruise ports by taking advantage of the free things like hanging out on the beach or strolling through the cities.

Another large cost is the drink package.  You’ll want to determine what package is right for you and your party.  You can go the entire sailing while drinking only the included beverages or you can add on different levels for all in your stateroom to enjoy their favorites.

You also have additional dining options that you can choose to purchase.  These are going to be specialty dining which include a whole experience in itself based on the restaurant selection.  You can choose to indulge in specific cuisine or dine in the main dining areas that are included in your cruise fare.

As you can see, there are many things to add on to your cruise to indulge in extras, but you also get a lot of activities included.  This makes a cruise a great option for those budget conscious or “YOLO” families.
