Looking for a vacation with thrills, fun, and magic for the whole family? Universal Orlando Resort has it all! Here are my top five things you should know about Universal Orlando Resort.

1. Immersion Like No Other:

  • It feels immersive because Universal goes beyond just rides — they make you feel like you’ve stepped into the story.
  • Visit any of the Harry Potter sections in the parks and you’ll agree.  Architecture, food and beverages, team members, attractions – all make you feel like you stepped onto a movie set or into the books themselves.
  • How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk in the new Universal Epic Universe Park transports you to the land of dragons and Vikings.  The Untrainable Dragon show may be the best thing I’ve ever seen in an Orlando theme park.

2. Halloween Horror Nights is Next Level:

  • Not for the faint of heart, this annual event boasts 10 haunted houses, sinister scare zones, themed food and beverages, plus terrifyingly tantalizing shows.  We recommend purchasing the Scream Early Pass, which allows you to line up for the fun prior to the party opening.
  • MDT agents also love the RIP Tours, which allow priority access to the haunted houses, a pre-tour reception and valet parking.

3. The Parks are Family Friendly:

  • My favorite area for kids of all ages can be found at Universal Studios.  At DreamWorks Land you can meet characters like Donkey and Shrek, and the Trolls.  Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp offers a mix of wet and dry play areas.  Try the Swamp Dog at Swamp Snacks – you won’t be disappointed.
  • Parent-Friendly Perks like stroller rentals, superior child swap programs, and family restrooms make the day easier.
  • On-Site Hotels & Dining allow for early park entry, easy transportation, and plenty of kid-friendly meals.

4. On-Site Hotels:

  • Speaking of on-site hotels, I always recommend Universal’s on-site hotels because they make vacations so much smoother. You get early park entry, which means your family can ride popular attractions with shorter waits. The hotels are minutes from the parks with free shuttles, water taxis, or even walking paths—so it’s easy to take a mid-day break.
  • Each hotel has its own fun theme and great pools, perfect for kids. Plus, staying on-site often comes with exclusive perks like free Express Passes at the premier resorts, which save you hours in line. And for parents, having dining, entertainment, and kid-friendly amenities right at the hotel makes the trip truly stress-free.

5. Holidays at Universal are Magical

  • Picture yourself under a giant Minion balloon during Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.   Dine with the Grinch at Seuss Landing, while seeing it all spruced up for Grinchmas.  There’s a way for everyone to celebrate the holidays at Universal Orlando Resort. My favorite thing is seeing the holiday décor for Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

As you can see, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Universal Orlando Resort throughout the year.
