Harvest Caye is Norwegian Cruise Line’s 75 acre private island in Belize, and this past April I had the pleasure of visiting this destination. Here are my five must-do’s when visiting Harvest Caye.

  1. Hit the Beach! Harvest Caye has a seven acre beach with plenty of lounge chairs for you to relax and watch the waves. If you are feeling adventurous, you can book an excursion on a zipline that goes above the ocean!
  2. Visit the pool and splash pad. Harvest Caye has a large pool with a cascading waterfall and swim up bar. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pool or you can rent a cabana.  There is also a kid’s splash pad with slides, but watch for the giant bucket!
  3. Enjoy watersports in the salt water lagoon. Harvest Caye has a salt water lagoon where you can rent kayaks and paddleboards.
  4. Talk a walk through the Wildlife Experience. – Harvest Caye has a wildlife experience that includes a butterfly sanctuary, macaws, toucans, and more.
  5. Shop and Dine. – Harvest Caye features a number of shops and stands where you can purchase souvenirs for your trip (my kids particularly enjoyed the hot sauce vendor)! There are also locations to dine and drink while you are on the island.
