Disney’s Riviera Resort is a Deluxe Villa resort and happens to be the newest resort on all of Walt Disney World Property. It also happens to be the resort that my family and I feel at home at and visit the most. Being a deluxe villa resort, it has a variety of rooms for families of all sizes. It is admittedly challenging to narrow down only 5 benefits to staying at this stunning property, but here goes.
1. The unforgettable and upscale ambiance:
Upon entry into the lobby you will be transported to a different world with a heavenly smell, true artistry at every turn and the feeling that you are somewhere magical in the French Riviera. This translates from the chic and airy rooms to the meticulously groomed grounds. The grounds house interactive lawn games for guests to enjoy as well as two fantastic pools and an adorable 1940’s Fantasia themed splash pad for the little ones. Walt’s love for his travels to the French Riviera is on display throughout the property. In addition to this, subtle Disney touches can be found everywhere and are so fun to seek out.
2. The Cuisine: It would be sinful if the scrumptious food at this resort was not on this list! Perhaps the best character dining breakfast in all of Walt Disney World is located at the rooftop restaurant, Toplolino’s Terrace. In the morning you’ll feast on Breakfast a la Art while Mickey, Minnie, Daisy & Donald are dressed in their very best artist inspired outfits. In the evening this gorgeous restaurant transforms and offers fine Mediterranean and Riviera inspired cuisine that is sure to please. Although the food shines bright, another highlight of the meal is the rooftop view of Epcot’s nighttime show with the music streaming in so you can enjoy the magic of the parks with your delicious 
meal. One would think this is plenty to satisfy any appetite but this resort holds every eatery on grounds to the highest standard and never disappoints. Le Petit Cafe in the lobby has wonderful coffees to sip on while you enjoy French pastries by day and by night grab yourself a light bite with an Aperol Spritz. Primo Piatto is the resort’s quick service that is not to be missed for any meal! Lastly for the food is Bar Riva, the Mediterranean inspired pool bar that is a hidden treasure within the Disney dining realm. Some fan favorites are 2 snacks that have somewhat of a following, the Riviera signature cookie and the chocolate chip banana bread.
3. Skyliner Accessibility: Disney’s gondola that allows you to glide in style to both Epcot & Hollywood Studios. The Riviera has its own stop and the process is nothing short of seamless. Having this mode of transportation available to 2 parks is a time saver to say the least but perhaps what I enjoy most is where it lets you off at Epcot’s gates: Right in World Showcase between France and the UK pavilions! The transition from the French Riviera vibe at the resort to the France pavilion is impeccable. Let me share a pro tip, this drop off location is perfect when rope dropping Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or Frozen Ever After!
4. Location, location, location: The resort is a short stroll to Disney’s Caribbean Beach where you are welcome to walk to and enjoy a delicious meal at Sebastian’s Bistro or grab a refreshing Caribbean inspired drink at Banana Cabana. That’s not all! Hop on that skyliner I mentioned above but leave your park ticket behind and enjoy the turn of the century Coney Island vibe as you walk along the water’s edge of Disney’s Boardwalk, grab a bite, take in some entertainment or even head to Jellyrolls, a dueling Piano bar in the evening.
5. Deluxe Benefits: As a Disney Deluxe Villa property you’ll enjoy the
countless deluxe benefits that of course are reflected in the chic and upscale amenities but offer something very valuable and sought after: Extended evening hours! This allows you to enjoy the parks to the fullest with 2 extra hours after they close on select days and at select parks. You will be able to get another shot at virtual que for both Tron at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot.
Disney’s Riviera Resort truly ticks all the boxes for an upscale, delicious and magical vacation.
